4 Departments: Human Services, Road & Bridge, Fleet Services, and Coroner
Architecture Plus is currently in the process of completing masterplanning for Larimer County. In conjunction with department site visits, staff interviews, online surveys and department meetings, we are using relational database software to analyze adjacencies, space utilization and efficiencies, and inter/intra departmental relationships that will ultimately lead to administrative cost savings and higher productivity. The information gathered and presented in the report will serve as a basis for the layout and design of a new Human Services facility in order to accommodate the program needs.
Additionally for the Road and Bridge and Fleet Departments, the Planning Team members; Architecture Plus, P.C., Fleet Counselor Services Inc. (FCS), and Maintenance Design Group, LLC (MDG); held interviews with stakeholders of the Larimer County Vine Drive facility in order to gain an understanding of the needs of each Department for their administrative, operational, and maintenance functions. These interviews greatly influence planning decisions concerning the design and layout of the new facility. Included in this report is a summary of operational characteristics for a central Fleet and Road and Bridge Departments for which the facility will be designed.
A report was generated that outlines staffing, support vehicles, vehicles maintained, key planning issues, deficiencies, and affinities for each space projected for a central Fleet and Road and Bridge facility. The data presented indicates a “Right Size” 2017, and Master Plan 2035 projected growth. The Planning Team will use this information in the future planning and design efforts.
